Is 'South Park' the Best Animated Comedy Series?

Not even "South Park" co-creator Matt Stone was surprised when his show scored Best Animated Series at Sunday night's first annual Comedy Awards, and we can't say we were all that surprised, either.

Stone, whose show won for best animated series, commented aptly that winning a best-animated-show award from a Comedy Central presentation was “like being Student of the Month and your mom is the teacher.”

Other big winners included Tina Fey for Best Comedy Actress in Film, Zach Galifianakis for Best Comedy Actor in Film, and "The Daily Show" for Best Late-Night Comedy Series.

It's up there, but I think that the first ten or so years of the Simpsons are really impressive and probably paved a lot of ground for later series.

Though I believe it is one of the best, I wouldn't call it hands down the greatest. There are many other shows that deserve that title as well!

The SIMPSONS are the kings of animation..that being said, the episode of south park where Stans father was on Wheel of Fortune, was one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television, period !
