Raven Symone has lost a significant amount of weight, but she's not convinced it was worth all the effort. In fact, it sounds like the former "That's So Raven" and "Cosby Show" star almost preferred being a little overweight.

Symone, 25, told People magazine, "I liked it before. Now, you're just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason ... I thought I looked fabulous before and nobody else did. So, whatever."

Interestingly, the weight loss coincides with reports that Symone is preparing to play the lead role in an ABC Family half-hour comedy called "The Great State of Georgia," about "an exuberant plus-sized performer from the South ... who tries to make headway in New York City."

At this rate, they'll have to toss the "plus-sized" part out the window.

Unless someone who was heavier becomes emaciated, everyone looks better slimmer. It's great that Raven liked how she looked either way, but yes, thinner is better.

She looks really good! She is short in height and even a little extra weight can look like a lot more weight than on a taller person, she is in show business and they are all about appearances, so like it or not, I think to get a wider range of work you must be thin. But she looked very cute when she was chubby and she was waaaaay too cute and so funny on The Cosby Show when she was what 5 or so???

I liked her show That's So Raven when it was on. In that show, she barely looked over weight. She's beautiful both ways. I love her personality too. It's always so bright and a great role model for kids. She always has her head held high.

She has always been pretty even as a child. But yes she looks great but was also very pretty when she was little heavy..She says she lost weight to feel better physically good for her.. She is amazing either way.Pesonality is her key, no matter what size she is hers is great.
