Ryan Gosling is the next Ryan Gosling.
What; do you think that Hollywood has 'offices to fill'? It doesn't. There is no 'next Clooney'; that is unless you're speaking about clooney jr. but in a completely non media genre.
Asking that kind of question is as obtuse as it is odious.
Is Ryan Gosling the Next George Clooney?

OK, so you've probably noticed by now that Ryan Gosling has been in a lot of movies recently. You've also probably noticed that he's quite possibly one of the dreamiest men in Hollywood today (yes, we just said "dreamy.") But is the Canadian-born actor just a few movies and modelesque girlfriends away from becoming the George Clooney of his generation? We're pretty convinced.
From "Blue Valentine" to "Crazy Stupid Love," then "Drive" to "Ides of March," Ryan Gosling has a growing list of A-list movies to add to his acting repertoire. Be it a romantic drama, comedy, action thriller or politically charged flick, Gosling aims to prove he has range -- and that he's in Hollywood to stay.
Heck, even Rolling Stone magazine is impressed by the actor. The magazine's senior movie reviewer, Peter Travers, says Gosling is "arguably even better" than George Clooney in their new movie together, "Ides of March." Talk about a compliment.
So, he's got the acting down pat. But what about the charm? Oh, Ryan's got a fair share of that too. Always playful and adorably modest in interviews, you can tell that Gosling doesn't think much of himself -- which is probably why so many of us do.
But enough gushing. We're clearly already convinced of Gosling's "it" factor. But what about you? Do you think Ryan Gosling is the next George Clooney?

so sexy :D
I also love George Clooney. He is also talented, charming and very good looking. He has already had a very successful career and I believe he has much more to do in Hollywood before his days of acting are over.
I just don't believe it's fair to compare the two ~ or ANY two actors this way. Each person has something new to bring to the table. We should enjoy each actor for who he/she is and for what they have to offer us in the name of entertainment.
