The new Pope Benedict XVI seems to bear more than a passing resemblance to Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars movies, in fact some suggest he might even be Emperor Palpatine, and this is just his latest scheme for galactic domination. Lets examine the subject more closely and look at the following reasons why the new pope might actually be a Sith lord.

* Both of the wear long ornamental robes totally out of fashion with the rest of the culture. True the pope is more colorful than the emperor, but the emperor wears a purple thong under his robes.

* Both were in evil groups intent on world domination. The emperor was a Sith lord and the pope was in the Hitler youth. But I don’t think Sith lords wore those gay Lederhosen, at least not over their Sith robes.

* Both have really creepy wrinkly faces and scary smiles. This one seems pretty definite.

* Both are the leader’s of vast empires who assert total control and rightful domination over everybody. That’s right you rebel heathen scum, get baptized or it’s the Death Star for you.

Funny, but no. That happened a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

The pope can get you to kiss his hand and believe in something that's not real. His powers are evil ones!

I'm suspicious. Phelps was known when this was made but not as well as now. I wonder if someone did this on purpose? Hmm...

Probably had to go into the depths of an evil alternate dimension. Fred is not as evil as Kane. (Very close though).

On the record, the answer is 'no'. However, there is a striking resemblance. Maybe it's his evil twin brother. You know, the ying-yang effect.

Speaking of ying-yang, I do not strive to be a saint. If I did, the universe would correct and find a balance bringing me back to a net even. In otherwords I would find myself doing something that's not good for me........come to think of it, maybe I should strive to be more of a saint.

This is hilarious! Of course he looks like him! And it's OK to say it!!!!! It doesn't make you evil or a Catholic-basher...it means that the man looks like a character from a friggin movie, and you pointed it out, and made us all laugh. Thank you.

Dick Cheney is the Emperor and Darth Vader all in one. Bush is more like Doctor Evil. Pope Joey Ratz is just the Pope, though he does have a striking resemblance to the Emperor. I thought Harriet Miers looked a lot like Palpatine too.

I have a somewhat out dated sense of humor, I don't make fun of serious things like family, Country, and especially people who devote themselves to the ministry of Jesus the Christ. but mabey I have lived lone enough to see the desecration of all things good.

I understand...I guess when I'm your age, I'll stop laughing at life too. BUT while I'm still young, I'll have a little fun and not take anything too serious. :-) with that said, remember...it's ok to laugh at serious things...laughter is healing! You may of forgot that because you've gotten sooooo old. What's your deal? Your only 61

Two heart attacks, minor stroke, diabeties, hypothryoidism, post trumatic stress syndrom, and a few other minor problems mostly caused by stress of some peoples humor. Honor dictates that you do not belittle the things that other people love. Ethics dictates that you do what you say. I'm sure you have things in your life you would not tolorate any one making fun of or denegrating for the selfish satisfaction of bad humor.

Life has taught me (in my short time on this planet) that I have to laugh. I have to laugh as much as possible at everything, anything, no boundaries, no limits and I can't have prejudice in anything. Speaking for myself sir, laughter is the key. Finding humor in the worst is finding life at it's best!

You're struggles are yours and what you make of them.

To answer your question..."I'm sure you have things in your life you would not tolerate any one making fun of or denegrating for the selfish satisfaction of bad humor"...My answer is this...If someone can find pleasure in my pain...then so be it! Anyone who knows me, knows I have no limits with my sense of humor. I reuse to live a life filled with rules when it comes to humor..That's just me though.

You have every right to be you and never stop being you that is what God ordained and He even says that He expects the young to be spirited and joyful, but as you age more find things of value through the search for wisdom. Do not misunderstand me I still have a since of Humor and I'm sure God does, but never forget that wisdom begins with the fear of God. A fear not of terror but of the same fear you had of your earthly father when you were a kid, you knew not to cross some lines. Have fun my young friend you have a lot of patience I can see that, and be yourself but seek out the truly important things in life. Humor is important but there is more than humor in this trail we follow.

Ever stop to think that maybe the reason you have had so many health issues is BECAUSE of the fact that you have not laughed enough during your lifetime?

Lighten up hun...it's just a silly poll and nothing to get worked up about.

Brady is not bashing the Pope...he is just being humorous, and even if it is not YOUR type of humor, it is to a lot of us....

I understand not everyone will see the humor in it...but to take it to such a serious level...is NOT healthy in and of itself...

    SMILE!

bashing pope humorous type humor understand humor level healthy smile
