Is Pole-Dancing Appropriate for Princess-to-Be Kate Middleton?

There's a lot of pressure on Kate Middleton to look the right way, dress the right way, and of course, act the right way. And while she won't have to prove her virginity to anyone, there are certain things you just don't expect a princess to do.

Like pole dancing.

However, Digital Spy reports that, if she's ever interested in taking lessons, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt is willing to teach her.

Wyatt told the Daily Star: "I'd love to show her some moves. William would definitely have a cracking treat on his wedding night."

We don't doubt that Prince William would be appreciative, but the public might be less enthusiastic.

What happens in a married couples bedroom in no ones business but their own, unless some part of it is illegal or non-consensual.

Many of my friends take pole-dancing lessons just because theyre too lazy to do anything that isnt sexy. It's just another dance, plus whatever happens in a married couple's bedroom is their business.

Royals undergo constant scrutiny. If she wants to dance for her hubby privately, fine. BUT if she takes lessons and it leaks to the press, she's humiliated him, herself, her immediate family, and her new in-laws. BETTER to NOT do it or even think about it. It's the new life she's chosen. She's a role model of upstanding behavior 24-7-365.

How silly is the notion of "princesses" and "princes"! He and she are humans like the rest of us. The fact that some legacy of feudal power, once held to demean ordinary people into submission by making a few royalty such that the remaining human must subjugate themselves to that “higher” cast, is frankly absurd. Are we trying to step back in time to a perceived higher level of human status than all the other mortals? Some say it is just a “fairy tale” distraction of no consequence, but just read the history of the British monarchy and it is no fairy tale. The fact that humans subordinate themselves to others is anything but fairy tale. Though the British monarchy is now nothing more than a tourist attraction, the remnant connection to that era is appalling. They are trying to get rid of such ridiculous notions of royalty in the Middle East. Why are we trying to preserve that last of it the West. The world has serious problems that need to be addressed by reasonable rational people. This pathetic distraction is not a matter worthy of our attention. The answer to the question is not yes or no, it's WHAT?

What a stupid question. Kate has NEVER suggested she wanted to do this. What about if someone wanted to teach her how to rob banks? Someone would be willing to show her, I'm sure. Morons.

Pole dancing is a rapidly growing fitness trend that thousands of normal, respectable women (and men) are trying. It is also growing rapidly as a competitive sport and aerial art form, with national and international competitions, and pole artists performing with Cirque du Soleil. Don't judge it until you've tried it. Why shouldn't she if she wants to?

ew, ew, ew! Why is the public even involved in this stuff????? If that's what they wanna do, that's fine. But they don't need the rest of the world judging them. The rest of the world doesn't need to know. What, they scared their five year old is gonna idolize the princess and ask for pole dancing lessons? Well, then, it's the public's fault for getting involved in personal affairs!!!
