On Tuesday night, Boston Celtics small forward and team captain Paul Pierce passed the legendary Larry Bird on the franchise's all-time scoring list -- en route to 94-84 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. Pierce finished the game with 15 points from 6-of-18 shooting. He also had nine assists and eight rebounds in the game.
"We have great fans," said 2008 NBA Finals MVP and multi-time All-Star Pierce said after the game. "They've seen it all from my younger days, from my trials and tribulations, to this point today and it's a great honor just for them to be able to stand up and give me that type of ovation. Being a Celtic for all these years and understanding what it means to be a Celtic and the ups and downs you go through just to come to this point in your career, it really means so much the support that they have given me over the years."
At the beginning of the season, the Celtics' playoff hopes were left for dead after a bad start that saw the team sport a losing record. Now at 14-10 with a five-game winning streak, the Celtics currently hold on to the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference and with just five and half games separating them and the No. 1 seeded Chicago Bulls, anything can happen at this point. Do you think Boston Celtics player Paul Pierce deserve to be an NBA Hall of Famer?

- Oreo February 09, 2012 14:38:17NoHe is a good player but he isnt great. He leads his team to the playoff but not the finals. He is only a one time champ and he could have notched up another 2 or 3 rings and then he for sure would have been in.reply
