In 2010, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" had the second-best sales week for a female hip hop artist, falling just behind Lauryn Hill's iconic "Miseducation." But fellow female rapper Lil' Kim remains unimpressed with Minaj's music, attitude, and style. Watch the video below to hear what she had to say about Nicki. Hint: it ain't pretty.

Kim said, "On her new album, [Nicki] has a song called 'Automatic,' and the song is so similar to the song that I played for [Cash Money CEO] Slim. The problem with her is she was very catty with it. I never had a problem with her —- I was always, always nice with her, always. She was a very obnoxious person, but I was always nice with her." Key word, "was." The beef between Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim has been stewing since 2009. But is Lil' Kim right?

Lil Kim is right (even tho I think she is kind of jealous). That lady is not only obnoxious but she is desperate to stay famous.

I mean that is not funny, and even if you dont believe in God thats not funny. I turned the crap off, people who are really good, they dont need to dress in crazy ass outfits. Dye their hair all crazy ways and do insane performances. They dont have to go to this place and this place dressing slutty to get people excited. People who are good are based on their talent and their talent only.

Someone who backlashes at their own fanbase for the sake of money is highly overrated. Minaj isn't very catty because she looks more like a pink duck, and that's just obnoxious.

I'm not much for Rap, but Nikki is an original in that genre. She's truly creative and unique. Lil Kim has street cred (an has done time to establish that firmly), maybe she feels that supersedes creativity.

Indeed. It's really atrocious the way she's made herself so... fake. I really can't stand those who promote the idea that looking unrealistic as possible is attractive. Perhaps if she would have kept her natural look, I'd have more respect for her.

(I swear it looks as if she had surgeons remove portions of her own JAW to look like she does today. -__-' )

Agreed. It's really sad that some don't know when to stop once they start cosmetic procedures... I'd be lying if I said I'd not considered any myself, but the mistakes like this made by people let alone the cost are enough to make me content with myself.

I like the person who posted this question! There's nothing worse than hearing Nicki Minaj everytime I turn the radio on. She can't rap, and she can autotune better than she can sing. But then again I just to mostly rock and classical..

Well Nicki Minaj is alot of things and she can be catty and obnoxious but definitely NOT overrated. She is the ideal entertainer that has girls and guys jumping out of their seats for her. She is the first female hip-hop artist to make rap sound feminine and bouncy, and not so hardcore. Anyone can listen to her music, from adult audiences to a younger crowd. You can't help but love her!!
