When you think of New York City, what images come to mind? I'm guessing most people don't pair NYC with cowboy hats, pickup trucks and BBQ stains on white t-shirts -- but the times, they are a-changin'.
A Nielsen/SoundScan report revealed that as of last year, New York City has the highest country music sales, beating out Nashville by 20 percent. In fact, Nashville, which many would expect to be the country music capital of America, ranked sixth in sales... even Los Angeles sold more! What do you think: Is NYC the new capital of country music?

Where the greatest number of country music stars are made... where the largest volume of recordings are created does make a city the Country Music Capitol...
