Is Lance Armstrong Innocent?

Cycling legend and seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has long denied charges of using performance-enhancing drugs, specifically blood doping. Even with a number of his old teammates failing drug tests and claiming otherwise to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, Armstrong has still denied. Unfortunately for the cancer survivor and inspirational leader of the 'Livestrong' movement, perception is reality and either this is a witch hunt -- or enough smoke to explore the fire.

"I have never doped, and, unlike many of my accusers, I have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one,” Armstrong said via a statement on his official website. “That USADA ignores this fundamental distinction and charges me instead of the admitted dopers says far more about USADA, its lack of fairness and this vendetta than it does about my guilt or innocence.”

Armstrong is charged with taking testosterone and participating in blood doping, but he can stand trial and defend himself against those allegations. Yet if he loses, he will be stripped of all seven of his Tour de Frances titles and could even be subject to a government investigation, much like baseball legend Roger Clemens is. Not to mention the fact that if found guilty, it would break the hearts of hundreds of thousands of fans who supported him. This is only just the beginning though, so stay tuned. Do you think Lance Armstrong is innocent?

Where there's smoke.... but these people who have spent years pursuing him are not crazy. Vindictive maybe, but if they say they have something - bring it...

He's been investigated for years now and they drop it so another group takes over with the same witnesses....... Like I heard 50,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean is a hell of a good start.

Lance Armstrong is a class A jerk, but I'm not convinced he took performance enhancing drugs.

He dumped his wife and kids for Sheryl Crowe, then when Sheryl was diagnosed with cancer, he dumped her. Guy's a great athlete but a snake in life. That's just my opinion though, others may have a different opinion.

I really don't care. I hated when Congress had to chime in on baseball's issues when there are so many more important things out there to be using that time, money and resources for.

How is it that all that testing developed by all of those rocket scientists could be wrong, and if so, are all of the results for all those tested at those times also going to come in to question? He played by their rules, he won, he never tested positive, acknowledge and move on overthinking, jealous dudes......

He has been accused multiple times of doping in the past and he has prevailed each time. He will prevail again this time. The only thing he is guilty of is being a freak of nature: A crazy low resting heart rate, enormous lung capacity, and a shining example that one can beat testicular cancer and survive to fight cancer with his "Livestrong" organization. Kudos to Lance for being an up-standing individual.

Five hundred blood test and he's passed all of them, never a dirty UA...I say if he was doping then he's darn good at covering it up and they should give him a medal for that to.

My guess is that he was doping and this sport is noted as rife with doping unfortunately... Evidence seems compelling at this point though within full context.

Dude - you haven't seen my legs and I never wear black socks with shorts or sandals! I'd hurl insults your way too but generally Arizona people are the only sunbelters I visit who don't seem bound and determined to spend their lives escaping physical activity and exposure to the sun. As to opening the mind - the evidence will be decided by experts but the preponderance seems compelling and Lance's denials are pretty lame. I'll put this in the hands of experts.

They readliy admit that he passed their tests 500 times, their tests, not his tests, he passed, passed, passed, passed 500 times over his career, and now they want to go back and say he didn't pass?

.... yes, he's Innocent until Proven Guilty and even then I could care less.

Funny ain't it .... we can run some sports star up on Charges before Congress, yet Congress hasn't the balls to run real crime across it's over-burdened slate .... too funny.

Good grief it's been 7 years since he one his last Tour de France if he had doped you would have thought they could have figured it out by now. I think the French are behind all of this. They certainly don't want an American to hold the record for most championships.

Opps meant to say No, he hasn't doped.

Until Lance is PROVEN to have used enhancers, then he is not guilty of it.

Drugs can give you faster muscle development, and they can jerk around with the oxygen carrying capacity of your blood, but they aren't necessary for spectacular physical performance. Diet and training can do more than any drug, particularly with endurance sports like cycling.

Years ago I learned the 'secret' diet of extreme physical performance, and it's 100% natural. If you want to kick ass and take names in any physical competition, get this book.

    fit for life

I ran across it years ago, and happily loaned it to a friend...

Never got it back, and that's ok, cuz I'm thinkin' HE really liked it too ;0 )

I've since found another copy, and am so glad ~ Gonna keep THIS one for myself !!!
