The dating rumors have started up again -- and this time the alleged couple-in-question is New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and newly appointed Sports Illustrated swimsuit model of the year Kate Upton. Hm, a model and an athlete? That's never happened before...

According to TMZ, the 19-year-old model was playfully avoiding questions about her personal life -- and about Mark Sanchez in particular, answering "I don't know" when asked if she was dating the Jets quarterback. The two were linked as a romantic item a few months ago in December when Sanchez was seen visiting Upton's apartment complex late at night, but nothing's been officially confirmed yet. Upton's reps also have declined to comment. Do you think Kate Upton and Mark Sanchez may be dating? And do you think the two make a cute couple?

I think she's got a remarkable little tiny tush.She does runway and bathing suit modeling which her figure is perfect for.She's only19 If she maintains herself through life she'll never have a bit of cellulite, a ripple or a dimple on that tush or her thighs.Much prefered over some cottage cheesy looking thing like the picture....

First of all, I've never trusted statements from all of those "anonymous sources close to the (fill in the blank)" to be the gospel truth. Are Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue cover model Kate Upton and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez dating? Who knows, and really, who the hell cares? Yes, they would make a good-looking couple, and if they reproduced, they'd have beautiful babies. However, even if they ARE dating, they've obviously chosen to keep their relationship on the down-low, and it's really none of our business anyway. Just because Sanchez was seen visiting Upton's apartment doesn't necessarily mean they're dating. Hell, he might just be banging her, for all we know. No wonder celebrity hookups are usually doomed to fail, since the rag mags and the public won't leave them alone.
