Justin Bieber currently has the biggest selling album of the year, “Believe,” with over 400,000 copies sold in the first week of its release. Now, the Biebs is on a global tour to promote his latest musical attempt at world domination. And if you want to know where the pop star is at any given moment, just check out his Twitter page. Chances are either the singer himself or one of his 24.3 million Beliebers will know his whereabouts.


Bieber fans are so rabid that Twitter has allegedly changed its algorithm so the singer is not trending 24/7. The power of the Beliebers is often harnessed into online blitzkriegs in support of Bieber’s projects. The latest craze? “Get Justin to a top spot on the Billboard sales charts." It is spearheaded by a fan, who goes by the moniker Dr. Bieber. By providing instructions and a database of 500 stations, Dr. Bieber hopes to rally the troops so it’s all Bieber, all the time on airwaves around the world. Bieber fans are jamming the phone lines with requests for “Boyfriend” to their local DJs.

Bieber himself credits online outlets with making him a superstar. He recently said, “Social media helped launch my career. Without the Internet and without YouTube, I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to put my music out there and have people hear it.” It’s pretty well known that Justin was discovered online by posting some YouTube videos that got into the hands of his mentor Usher.
