Who better to discuss video games with than Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb and Donny Deutsch?
Anyone. Anyone else on earth. Literally.
But there they were, in the fourth hour of the "Today" show (four hours, really?), in a segment called "The Other View: Getting A Guy's Perspective On Love," discussing the following question from a viewer:
"Do you think it's OK for men to play video games in their 30s and over?"
"No, that's weird," said Gifford, who should know a little something about weird. And then she muttered "Xbox" for some reason.
Deutsch continues: "No. The answer's no. When you're in your 30s, there should be something more on your mind, your attention, than video games."
Like getting fired, or writing books about how to get rich (here's a hint: have your father own an ad agency and then give it to you).
You're allowed to play games with your kids, though, so go to town, say the trio. Kotb says they're just talking about "those weird ones in the basement." (Those weird ones in the basement who presumably won't go crazy if they see a pop star.)
Just for the record, according to the Entertainment Software Association, the average game player is 37 years old. The average age of "Today's" "Other View" segment is 52.

I started with an Atari console....a long time ago.
I spoke, once, when playing online and a young kid said "hey, you're old" lololol, I think I had the highest level player on the server, at the time.

Why does everything has to be given the label "Weird" anyways?
