I hope not. Grew up watching that show.
$4 million? OMG, how will they ever survive on that?! *rolls eyes*
Do they live under a rock or something? The economy is sh*t and they would still be making a lot more than most people do. They need to get over it and suck it up.
Is It the End of the Road for 'The Simpsons'?

You'd think talk of an all-"Simpsons" channel would be a good sign for the show's future, but it's not. According to The Daily Beast, America's longest-running animated show and longest-running sitcom could be coming to an abrupt end at the end of the current (23rd) season -- and not by choice.
Eight voice actors from "The Simpsons" have come to a head with Fox, the show's home network. Dan Castellaneta (Homer, etc.), Julie Kavner (Marge, etc.), Nancy Cartwright (Bart, etc.), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Hank Azaria (Moe, etc.), and Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns, etc.) have all reportedly complained about a pay-cut.
The proposal issued by Fox reads, "[Twenty-three] seasons in, 'The Simpsons' is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world. We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come."
Fox is threatening to cut the voice actors' salaries in half, reducing them from around $8 million a year to $4 million a year, or else pull the plug on the show. The actors, who are already upset over being left out of syndication and merchandising profits, offered to take a 30 percent pay cut instead. Fox denied it.
An unnamed source told The Daily Beast, "Fox is taking the position that unless they can cut the production costs really drastically, they’ll pull the plug on new shows. The show has made billions in profits over the years and will continue to do so as far as the eye can see down the road. The actors are willing to take a pay cut of roughly a third, but that’s not good enough for Fox."

I have no idea what Fox or the actors will do. I loved the show Futurama before Fox canceled it, so I would not bet what will happen to Simpsons now.
BUT never this way. channel must see they had been A LOT rich thanks to that voices and let them have a part of what they gavee the channel win during loooooooong long time.. its a matter of respect to the ones that did it perfect that much time.
someday i know that will end.. but i hope its with an open door of glad people and the best way possible, not this poor ugly way..
this show changed a lot of lifes (also mine) and.. if there is no other choice than to end it.. deserves an end as great as the happiness this show sends to so so many people around the planet of all ages all this time..
and if im the channel i fear of the show that will take the simpsons place time.. cos it will be.. no seen. cos no show will be.. The Simpsons show.
They'll never survive! :P I sure hope they figure something out! I sure wouldn't
want to see this 20 year old and still going strong show leave us!
