Is it OK to lie about your salary to a future employer? For every dollar you can get above what you make now (per hour) will put 40 more bucks in your pocket. People do it all the time. Is it ethical? Probably not but,it pays the bills. From a a kid that goes from a fast food restaurant to a retailer,a janitor at a school that applies at a college for the same job,a professional welder or book editor etc...It happens more often today than it used too.

+2i think it is ... maybe it's best to say you "want" $XXX rather than to say you're getting something specific ... it stinks for the prospective employer to ask this question.reply
