Looks like Dakota Fanning, er, forgot something at home. The "Twilight" actress was photographed in New York wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt -- and no evidence of a bra underneath, The Daily Mail reports.

The 18-year-old also stopped short of putting on makeup, and looked somewhat disheveled -- at least by Hollywood actress standards! You're probably thinking: She has a right to run out for a quick errand, just like everyone else! But should women -- famous or not -- wear a bra at all times? At least in public? It can be very uncomfortable and I feel like in this case, it's most definetley a choice. While it may not always be the best thing to see for some people, it's still a choice.

Bra's are a relatively recent invention, 1913. So for thousands of years women did without this new fangled invention and I see no reason why it should become a no-no.

Time for our society to grow up and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. Perhaps if we were as critical of our own behavior as we are of the behavior of others, we'd have a much kinder, healthier, productive and more empathetic society.

I say no, not because I think it has anything to do with fashion, but because I find it somewhat off-putting to be able to see someone's boobs flapping about behind there clothes. I don't know why anyone would want to, I find it uncomfortable and it will give a woman saggy breasts if she doesn't wear one often. It's not sexy, it's disgusting. If, however, someone is to go some sort of occasion and decide to wear a strapless or back-revealing dress, then it's understandable.

For most women a bra is a fashion device. There are some that, for their health, need the support a bra provides, but the overwhelming majority could leave it at home. Wearing one is a matter of personal choice, if a woman feels more comfortable sans bra, so what!

Actually :: I see that a lot in the summer... but it is usually seems it is women who have a large B cup, or less, that tend to do so.

Not very often will you see a girl with a "DD" going without a bra.

For some women it ok but some women probably should'nt. It's just a matter of practicality andphysical realities. Women with heavier breasts simply need the support. Besides I don't know that using Dakota Fanning as a role model is the best idea. She kinda looks like a washed out druggie.

I can understand someone who is chronically ill, or for some good reason cannot wear one, but other than that please spare us the trashy ugliness of going without one. Besides they make very comfortable bras nowadays. No healthy person can claim of being uncomfortable.
