Superhero movies might be on the decline. It's still an immensely popular genre with worthy titles coming out every year, but it seems to have lost some steam over the last year or so. However, nothing is greater evidence of the genre's potential doom than this year's sequel to 2007's mediocre-at-best "Ghost Rider," perhaps best remembered as "that time Nicolas Cage tried to play a superhero." (You know, before "Kick-Ass.")
Hitfix is boldly calling the follow-up "the worst Marvel movie ever made," citing excessive car-flipping, senseless action, lackluster cinematography, and a completely irrelevant ploy as just a few of its low points. And if you don't believe them, it currently has a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's so bad, the review actually lists Cage as a saving grace. That's kind of like saying, "Well, 'Daredevil' was pretty terrible, but Ben Affleck did his best to save it."

Beat Magnum True Hero 2012/02/20 19:42:53No, the worst superhero movie is...+6Clearly, none of you have ever seen Pumaman. No, this isn't a joke, this is a real movie:

Fantastic 4 and it's Sequel
The Hulk
The Punisher (2004)- Definitely the Worst Punisher Movie
Batman and Robin
Superman 3
I've heard Steel, Supergirl, Catwoman, and Elektra were supposed to be horrible too.
(Some of my other favorites are: The Dark Knight, Captain America: The First Avenger, Watchmen, Batman (89), X-Men Origins, Iron Man, and Kick Ass.)
2. I've yet to see The Spirit, but it's on my Netflix Queue.
3. I thought Blade 1 was okay, never saw 2, and disliked Blade 3.
4. I love Sin City, but it's not a superhero movie; dispite the characters "super powers." lol
5. I haven't seen Priest, but it didn't look very good from the trailers. I guess I might try it if you recommend it anyway.
1: Classic, the best of the series to me.
Evolution: Mediocre, I thought that it was the weakest of the series; there were barely any werewolves in the movie at all.
Rise of the Lycans: Mediocre, It was a lame retelling of the Underworld 1 flashback that added nothing and actually ruined Lucian for me. He just spent the movie crying and being sad.
Awakening: Good, The 3D effects were awesome and it had a great plot, but they couldn't commit to killing any good guys; they would just keep coming back. The to be continued... ending was lame too.
How would you compare Blade 2 to Blade 1?
