Before the 2011 NFL season began, New York Football Giants quarterback Eli Manning made headlines, after saying in an interview that he considered himself an elite quarterback. At the time, he was coming off of a rough 2010 campaign, that saw him throw a career-high 25 interceptions compared to 31 touchdowns. What a difference one season makes....
If there is one thing that can be said about Manning, even with the Giants' past seasons of second-half troubles, is his calmness. While other teammates or quarterbacks might panic, Manning shakes off adversity and stays poised. This has been no more evident this season, that's seen Manning throw for 25 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions. Thirteen games in, he's already set a career-high for passing yards with 4,105.
Manning has been to the promise land in the Super Bowl before and it's that same swagger and clutch gene that got him there in 2007-08 that was seen last night against the Dallas Cowboys. Despite being down late in the game on Sunday Night Football, Manning rallied past the Cowboys in the fourth quarter, with the Giants defense keeping their season alive at the end with a blocked field goal for a 37-34 victory.
The Giants four-game losing streak was finally snapped and now the Giants are in a good place -- confident and possess momentum. They owe a lot of that to their quarterback, as well as head coach Tom Coughlin, who didn't crack under pressure either. The now NFC East-leading Giants look to continue their momentum when they take on lowly division rival Washington next Sunday.

but eli has to get some credit from cowboy fans at this point, cause apparently the guy has our number, they beat us in the playoffs (year they won it all), they swept us last year (without romo but still), and he did it again on sunday in an impressive fashion.
