Is Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" a rip off of Joe Satriani's "If I Could Fly"?

jayc32~just me~ 2008/12/11 15:05:20WOW! They ARE alike!+4Losers are valways trying to rip off the great ones...it's just like Vanilla ice ripping off David Bowie.

My friend Roman Aponte has an uncle whos a producer for coldplay so me and him were given the awsome oppertunity to meet them on their 15 minutebreak when they were in the recording studio. I remember as clear as day, when they were going over their lyrics to a song I swear to god i heard "pillars of salt and pillars of sand."
this was in FEBRUARY 2004!!
Satriani is a lying, greedy son of a bitch!
Like both, but Joe's got the edge with me.
Surfing w/.....was cool!.....Of course I was 18 in high school, and a little metal head at the time.....
Sounds like scratching on a chalkboard to me now.....Huh,......oh well......Coldplay should pay something all the same.....
Joe could use a makeover.....
Don't get me wrong, I do like them a lot. They are great when I want to mellow out.
Great adjective.
But the sound is very different, and I personally like Coldplay better. Nothing against Joe Satriani AT ALL, because he's amazing. Coldplay is just more my taste. :P
Check out Joe here, He plays so beautiful, A true talented musician. I have loved his music for years!!
(Just kidding! BTW: don't forget to give Queen credit. It was co-written by Queen and was on their 1982 album Hot Space.
