    she was born in south africa but her mother is german and her farther was french. that's makes her african but not african american in the way we commonly use the term here in america describe black people. she just became a naturalized american citizen last may.

    That was the reference before all the multicultural, politically correct nonsense. Now that it has become Asian, we have the same issues that are coming out in this discussion. Russia, India, Pakistan, et. al. are part of Asia, but those folks wouldn't be considered Asian in the politically correct world just like you don't consider Charlize Theron African, when she is. This is why political correctness is a load of nonsense.
