  Glambert did a good job, and he's a better vocalist; but the Gary Jules version just has such a haunting and melancholy feel to it that this one lacks...

  Adam Lambert's voice is so other worldly on this song! Haunting and beautiful! The original was missing this haunting quality which fits so well with the movie Donnie Darko!

  I just listened to Adam Lambert's version and almost puked. His voice is so....I don't know how to explain it but its too fluffy, if that makes sense. I really like Tears For Fears, but the Gary Jules version is just as good.

  He added something...can't explain it. Lamberts sounds cool I really don't care for him but it's a nice version. But Jules version is the win.

  He really does sound like he's on the verge of tears.
  
  Maybe that heartfelt emotion is what's missing from Glambert's version.

  While I respect the original because it's such a great song, it's probably my least favorite.
  The other two versions are very similar. I agree that Adam Lambert has a great voice, but Gary Jules works better with this song (for me anyway). It's slower or softer or something... I don't know... I just really like the feel of the song when he sings it.
