Argo = a massive left-wing propaganda film full of lies to glorify leftists.
The progressive movement is a fascist movement and Hollywood is their ministry of propaganda.

After months of campaigning, press speculation and awards ceremonies. Ben Affleck finally took home the "Best Picture" Academy Award for his tense thriller "Argo" -- but not everyone is happy about it.
According to Fox News, Iranian officials have labelled the film -- which is about the escape of six American hostages from a besieged U.S. Embassy in 1979 -- as anti-Iran. Iranian Culture Minister Mohammed Hosseini said that "The movie is an anti-Iran film. It is not a valuable film from the artistic point of view. It won the prize by resorting to extended advertisement and investment."

In addition, Iran's state TV called "Argo" "an advertisement for the CIA." However, some supported the film. Retired teacher Reza Abbasi, who remembers the events surrounding the film, said "Hollywood usually changes reality to make it attractive for movie lovers, but more or less it was close to the realities then." Do you think that "Argo" deserved to win Best Picture?

'Beasts of the Southern Wild' was good, but it's not the type of movie Oscar voters tend to recognize with anything other than a nomination.
'Zero Dark Thirty' was decent, but I wouldn't say it deserved Best Picture over 'Argo.'
'Amour' won Best Foreign Film, so it's kind of difficult for the academy to give it double awards for best overall film. (And there were other movies in the BFF category that were equally or more deserving.)
'Les Miserables' was more overrated than 'Lincoln.'
I liked 'Life of Pi,' but I wouldn't have given it Best Picture. And giving Ang Lee the Best Director statuette was a bit of a stretch. Not saying that he's not worthy, but there were a couple of other nominees where the film might have been more deserving.
Of the nine nominees, if I were an Academy member, it would've been toughest to choose from 'Silver Linings Playbook,' 'Django Unlimited,' or 'Argo.' Maybe 'Beasts of the Southern Wild' if I'd had a chance to see it before the deadline.
Somehow, I'm not surprised that Iran's leadership isn't thrilled with 'Argo.' But do we really care what some guy who wears a Members Only jacket (and his bureaucratic minions) in 2013 thinks?
# 2 Fact is No One Cares if Iran does not approve!
I haven't seen all the nominees, but I've seen several, and the reason I'm good with Argo is that I already knew the ending, and it STILL kept me on the edge of my seat. To my mind, that's a mark of an outstanding film. I saw it with my daughter, and she said the same thing. She was 11 when this happened and doesn't remember it; I remember it well because it was a bright spot at a time when Americans were becoming increasingly angrier and more frustrated about the Hostage Crisis.
There have been lots of good films that were historically accurate, but they've never captivated me the way Argo did because I knew the end (he dies, he lives, whatever).
Here is how I rated 2012 nominated movies:
1. Lincoln
2. Django Unchained
3. Argo
4. Zero Dark Thirty
5. Silver Lining Playbook
Five nominees would be sufficient. I wish the academy would return to that concept.
Most of those who vote "no" do not graps the purpoe of the Oscars: rewarding the filmaking art and base their opinion on political beliefs who are for the most part wrong.
