Bad news for INXS fans: the classic '80s band has officially broken up. During a concert in Perth Australia last weekend, drummer Jon Farriss shocked fans by his emotional admission that it would be their last show, and Monday night the band released an official statement declaring, "We understand that this must come as a blow to everybody, but all things must eventually come to an end."
Some fans consider the death of former frontman Michael Hutchence in 1997 as the end of INXS, while others have continued their support throughout recent years. Will you miss INXS?

No

When boys (or womyn front lead singers) get new lead singer (s) it is not the same like: AC/DC, Journey (sans Steve Perry), Judas Priest (Rob Halford is JUDAS PRIEST no other boy can replace him and his voice) so on and so forth......
.....if the group gets a replacement due to death or not, it might or might not sound the same; vocally or musically!! I'm not in the music business world, so I'm just guessing?
- There was a band from the 80s-90s era that had some smash hits and then apparently finished when the lead singer died... apparently has continued touring since then.... and now will stop touring some 20 years later.
Wow this is a real shocker! I mean.. I guess I have to take a night to absorb this and does anyone under 35 even know who they were and I suspect that 234,000 musical bands eventually stop selling tickets as a band.
Should we go through every one of them?
I've missed them since Hutchence died. Sorry, but they waited too long to find a new singer.
