Super Nintendo had more colors, and Mario Bros. That was it. Sega Genesis had a better processor, better graphics, better games, better peripherals... it just kicked SNES's ass all over town.
I never played many games on either system (or any system), but I owned both of these... only played the Sonic games for Sega, but for SNES I played all the Mario games and Donkey Kong Country games.
Don't feel bad, that's not always. I got one pretty cheap and it was in very good condition. It's one of the cheaper consoles you can find on there actually

It's a shame considering that was Sega's absolute best and NONE of their other consoles even compared, even though Dreamcast is one of my favorites. Super Nintendo wasn't even Nintendo's highest point
Oh, though remind me.... who won the console war? ;)
and in 2000, i got sonic 2.
and in 2001, i got sonic 3.
My favorite Genesis game:
I preferred SNES because I'm not a gamer... it was nice and simple. Sega was definitely the more advanced system.
come on now
