First off, speaking as a male, why isn't there a "Forgive/forget 'HER' option?? Women cheat, too, y'know....I see it all the time on Maury when they come on accusing this guy, and that guy, of being their baby daddy!!


Okay...sexist rant over. Now, as to whether I could forgive my wife for cheating, even if it was a one-time thing, probably not. I mean, marriage vows are supposed to be forever...that's why they say "till death do us part," (or "all the days of my life," or some variation thereof.) So I would have a hard time forgiving my spouse if she cheated on me, and I suspect she would feel the same if I ever cheated on her.

I've been hurt by cheaters, so I would never cheat on my husband if I was married.

I'm sorry you've been hurt...I'm sure it sucks. Fortunately, my wife has never done anything like that to me, and vice-versa. (I've never done anything like that to her.) But my wife's sister got cheated on by the father of her kids (first husband)...so I know what cheating does to people. (Aside from seeing it on the aforementioned TV shows.)

I gave the same vow of forsaking other. No matter how cute they are, no matter how nice they are I'd simply look away because I was in love and trust my mate to do the same. If they break that trust then what do I have...empty love..obviously I did not do it enough for my mate, or he did not love me enough or something. No doubt he lied to the other girl also so he's done more then just lie to me. So I could not trust him after that and would always worry or wonder when I'll get dumped, gee too old, not hot enough, my body changes after kids so he want's the secretary..no sorry once trust is gone then you have little left but worry, and uncertainty not love for ever...so I'd cry, and then simply be done with him. I'm sure he'd find some other girl to cheat on.

Confession to the affair and me catching him are two different things to me. I don't know if I could forgive completely but I'd be able to move on with him.

The reason I chose "Forget Him"! In this life you "Forgive Him" because that is for you, but if you stay with a man or woman after they have cheated on you,you are giving them permission to do it again. Some men and women are like little "Boys" and "Girls" that you have to teach them, that you will not tolerate that type of behavior and don't forget about the "Std's"!!
