I lost my grandfather but he was old and had Altzheimer's. I believe he's be pretty mad at me if I did.

No, because God chooses everyone's time, but I think experiencing what they did would be educational, if someone has the stability to go through it.

Because it was me I would never want or ask anyone to trade places with me . I would do it for my kids but and maybe my other half but not for anyone else

I don't think that would change the situation and make it any better for me or her. Things happened and I am just accepting things the way the are and trying to live my life. In my case she was my grandmother and it took me awhile to come to grasp with the fact that I could not change the situation.

One of the people I lost to cancer was my grandmother, too. I would've switched places in a heart beat but I'm quite sure my grandma wouldn't have accepted the switch. I miss her so much but I definitely inherited some of her ways after her death. Our loved ones definitely live on thru us...

Almost everyone on my dad's side of the family has had/or has cancer. My grandpa is in remisson for the time being but with his type of cancer (in his blood) there isnt much they can do for it except help him live through it longer. My aunt has had breast cancer twice and is struggling to stay in remission. I wont go on to every type of cancer my family has but i would trade places with any of them, if it ment they would live to see another day. Even if i died in the process it would be worth it. No one in my family would trade places with some else even if it ment that they would be free of cancer but thats just who they are. Thier stronger than most people give them credit for.

This is tough! I would trade places if I felt it would help like in the case of my sister who is a 2 year breast cancer survivor. I would have traded places with her in a heartbeat because she has 2 little ones who need her. M mother is the only close person I have lost to cancer and she would never have allowed me to trade places with her even if it was possible, I know she is proud of me. :) Great question!!

I wasn't going to answer this question because I haven't known anyone who's died of cancer- but having thought about it- the answer would still be the same, which is yes, for my kids I would trade my life any and every time whether they wanted me to or not I'm afraid.

All of the people that I have known who have died from having cancer, have been older than me, and I know that they would not want me to do that. But, if anyone of my children or grandchildren, Heaven forbid, got a terminal illness, I would much rather switch places.

I would of with my 5yr. old neiece who had brain cancer, and why because at the time I felt that I had lived long enough. She never even got a chance.
