Ichiro Suzuki won the MVP and Rookie of the Year in 2001, but now the 38-year-old outfielder has to pack his bags and head cross-country. Suzuki leaves the last place American League West Mariners (42-56) and joins the first place American League East NY Yankees (58-38).
Mariners chief executive Howard Lincoln said, "Ichiro knows that the club is building for the future, and he felt that what was best for the team was to be traded to another club and give our younger players an opportunity to develop."
Suzuki has a better chance of winning the championship with the legendary NY Yankees. He also has to move from quiet Seattle to noisy New York City. Where would you rather play professional baseball?

me, personally, I'd rather play there, but
that's just my 'comfort zone' speaking up, I'm sure ~
Never been to New York, so I can't really say anything about it...
In terms of Ichiro, I CAN say THANKS A MILLION for your AWESOMENESS !
I feel honored that you blessed The Seattle Mariners with many years of your presence ;0 )
You're a Class Act, indeed ~
It brings a tear to my eye, to see you go,
and I wish you great success, in your future ;0 )
Understandable, yes?
