ICarly becomes more lenient on language?

So, as you know, many people are offended by language. I was watching an episode of iCarly when I heard Sam utter something rather strange:
"So you finally did something bad? Holy crap, I love this!"

Now, I had noticed iCarly making the transition of children's TV into something for slightly more mature audiences. For instance, they put a few phrases in each episode that could be considered sex jokes if taken in the right way. However, this is the first time I've seen a kids' show use the word "crap".

I don't think this is too bad, but I'm worried that profanity might be leaked into these shows before we know it.

Personally, I don't consider "crap" to be a swear word, but many people still do. Although I use the word a lot near my friends, I'm a bit shocked to see it on Nick. What do you think?

    Haha thats not so bad I mean did you hear on the previous episode were freddy pinned carly down and she said "When did you get so strong!?" and he said "Since my boys dropped!" and another thing in this episode carly said she felt crotchy and sam said "Haha crotchy that sounds so wrong"

    The creater of iCarly tweeted about it - and said that she says "Holy Crab" and I thought that freddie says when my voice dropped, but I could be wrong...I think that the characters are getting older and they need to portray the change. It's technically not a kids show anyway. It's for teens. I'm a teen, and I say crap all the time. We get older with the characters as they get older. I don't think it's a big deal!

    hahaha! lol i just watched that like 10 minutes ago and i was suprised to see sam say that, not that it is bad, but i just didn't know that sam would say that now, but i thought it was pretty funny.

    I think its crazy if everyone is going to go beserk about this. Everyone has said crap at least once. Well, almost everyone. My 3-year-old brother (now 5) has before!

    naw i think the language is not a big issue rite now but i like sam's pharse "wart on a monkey's butt."
