Am I Alone?
I didn't watch Oscars last,no offense,as the saying goes,I didn't have a dog in the fight,the movies I watch,don't usually get nominations,if it's not animated,or has a teen or young/or relatively young starlet in it or is a romantic comedy,I don't rent in from Blockbuster,I saw (twice) Bridesmaids,all the other n9minees I will eventually watch and may deserve their nominations,awards etc,but can't waste time watching a show that is IRRELEVANT to me!

I don't watch any of the award shows. Why would I want to waste 2 hours (or more?) watching rich people give awards to each other, congratulating them over and over and over again. It's boring, to me.

They seem to be an endless waste of time. There is no entertainment in people getting awards for what they are paid to do.If that is the case there should be award shows for every profession.

I didn't watch them either, I had a much better time watching movies I know I like and have actually watched. "Life of Brian" and "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?"

I had my hopes with the Daytona 500....there was no way I was eating my bbq ribs, baked beans,baked potatoes, cold beer with the Oscars! We are waiting for the start right now...got grilled fish, steamed rice, and salad....hungry yet?

they can be,especially when one has little or no familiarty with nominees

Not a fan of awards shows personally. Although I do like when actors or musicians thank god for winning. That's always good for a chuckle.

Haha, I'll grant you Hilary Duff, but at 40 I'd venture Cameron Diaz is past "relatively young starlet" status ;). I mean I still would but it looks like she's lounging by the pool at the retirement home XD

I switched back and forth. I did not really enjoy them this year. I was glad for Octavia Spenser, best supporting actress. I do not believe I will watch them another year.
