According to a recent Gallup poll, the majority of Americans plan to watch a significant amount of Olympic coverage. 59% of respondents said that they’d watch a “great deal” or “fair amount.” 28% plan to watch “not much” of the Olympics, and the remaining 13% plan to watch “none at all.” These percentages are similar to those from the past three Summer Olympics.

More women (63%) than men (53%) will be tuning in to watch a fair amount or a great deal of the summer games. This is a change from previous years when viewership was evenly divided by gender. There were no other significant differences among American subgroups.

When it comes to platforms, the overwhelming majority of Americans plan to watch the Olympics on television. Only 4% said that they’d primarily tune in via the Internet, despite the fact that all events will be live-streamed online (to cable subscribers) for the first time ever.
So, what about you SodaHeads? How much Olympic coverage do you plan to watch?

btw gator chomps to lochte on his gold medal and the US soccer team on their two wins so far, I thought it was awesome I got her doing the chomp.
BUT I am already hot as hell over the stupid gymnastics rules. HOT I say, it is so unfair and the Americans ALWAYS get marks well below what they should while others get marks well above what they should,
Also, the top 24 ATHLETES do not move forward, the top two from 8 nations do, that is horribly unfair to give struggling lesser teams a shot. IN ALL OTHER EVENTS the fastest time, regardless of country, go to the finals. Make gymnastics the same way,.
Watching the cycling dude from Khazakstan (probably spelled wrong and I always get the stanies confused) who won the gold was "golden".
