How much income per year is considered middle class?

pepper5419 2012/06/17 00:30:01
In 2010 an average middle class income was about $49,445 per year. With the unemployment rate stuck at about 8.2% and 46% of the American workforce either unemployed or under employed and with whats going on in Europe with Greece and Spain,America's ability to keep jobs here isn't going to get any better anytime soon.I don't see America making the right decisions to turn things around.Do you think our standard of living is lower and therefore whats considered middle class income isn't what it used to be?

The average median income for a family of 4 is about $81,000 per year. With that in 76% of all families both parents work.Other expenses like medical costs,daycare,etc...cut into every families income.
