Currently on YouTube there's a big contest going on called SuperNote. The idea is to make a video showing how long you can hold a note (within your team)

So Sodaheads, how long can you hold a note? I just made my video (for team stache)
check it out, im currently in 3rd so that's cool.

I can hold a note for...

I tried doing it on the same note and got 62 seconds. Without wanting to sound in any way arrogant, would that be considered good?? Im thinking about doing singing lessons, or getting involved in musicals, but i dont know if I should. What would be considered a good time?

Please change your mode of thinking from negative to positive! If you want to sing do it! Just do it-permission is not required! Just sing and enjoy that freedom of hearing your spirits rise by listening to music and joining in. write down the titles and singers of songs that make you happy-buy backing tapes of your favourites and hit the kareoke scene to get you on your way. it is a wonderful way to spend time-get on with it- Please be poitive and no more negs-love king of swing

I can hold a note for...

I've been training in acting my whole life (never used a microphone, so I have to breathe from the stomach, though not for extended periods), and I've only just started singing. Having no experience in maintaining a note, I can hold 14 seconds on a tiny breath, and 37 seconds when I use my whole stomach.

That's great! Being in third isn't bad at all!

Due to being forced to watch head gratingly boring concerts I've formed the habit of holding my breath for as long as I can. One Monday a month for 2 years... is a lot. I timed myself and got 28 seconds... and collapsed nearly unconscience on my couch. Pushed it too hard lol :)

I sang all thru high school and singing is my love and passion so I can hold a note for a minute give or take maybe longer !!!!!!!!!!!!

i know for a fact i can hold it for a LONG time . we timed me one time but idr how long it was :) ive been a singer my whole life so ive got my lungs pretty trained and i can ' breathe from my stomach ' if anyone knows what that means .

I was able to find some tricks on how to release the air using your stomach or something idk. you probably could have held quite a note since you are a singer. :D
