How do you feel about downloadable Ebooks?

There is so many things out there for download that it isn't funny anymore, but it does seen to be more convenient. What do you think ?

    As I run Linux on my computers and haven't invested in a portable reader, I don't have anything with which to read e-books unless they're public domain. So I haven't checked the difference in price between e-books and the bound and printed books. Are the e-books cheaper?

    I'm all for convenience, but I will never pay the same price (or even nearly the same price) for e-books that I do for real ones.
