I guess it's not even that... the olympics mainly gain my interest, I guess, but probalby proud the most, but mostly Winter Olympics, with Kowalczyk running and (some time ago) Małysz jumping.

Soo! Where is the "OTHER", item to click on. Maybe a big yawn?! I have found that the Olympics as other sports, are a very much "might watch for a few minutes" issue if someone else had them turned on. BHut then, I usualy ignore the whole "entertainment" industry, and find my "entertainment" doing things that are usefull. Replying to some remarks so as to educate the regular readers on various subjects, Might just help someone to become a more useful citizen, If I can encourage them to get off their lazy Butt and do something truly worth while. That usualy means something done for someone else.

Playing sports it worth while. Especially to have athletes t0 look up to. It get's kids excited to play and opens more opportunities for them, as well as keep them healthy.

Rather see a kid learn to WORK anyday, then to be focused on sports. Will put your sports kid in the field baling hay and kill him.

Sports teaching dedication and teamwork, it opens opportunities for colleges that many can not afford, yet that's nothing in your mind, hm?

Kill him? Wow. That's crosses the line. no need to be such an ass about it.

Very few kids today involved with sports, could handle the haying regime, 6 or 7 hours in full sun doing hard labor with little extra fluids until a wagon is either emptied or filled, and at 95 degree temperatures, yet most farm kids live with this. This could kill most who are even considered athletes. Check out The Power Team, many of them work at haying to prepare for that regime.

To see their accomplishments, from their discipline, skill, determination, drive to win, and especially when the ice skaters fall, yet get up and go on, is inspiring for me. It shows the strength of the human spirit in adverse situations, even though it is something they love to do, is powerful. We all have areas where we can excel and rise above our circumstances.

Actually, the Olympic games don't do a thing for me. I was merely "inspired" to point out this questions needed a "none of the above".

I think I feel like a combination of the words u could choose out of. I feel proud of ht people that can actually achieve their record breakin performances, I'd love to see people shine and be on top off their game like that. This also inspires me to bring my A Game evryday and to step My Life Game Up. The Olympics is a great place where the best of the best can compete against each other

Maybe we should try to compete more about who is #1 in healthcare or feeding their hungry, or sharing the wealth and less on playing games and making every day a holiday.

They make me feel human. It makes me realize how similar we all are, even across the world. So it restores a bit of pride in humanity, which typically is gradually decreasing every day.
