How Did Ellen Do on “Idol”?

She was terrible, Tries to make the whole show about her and has NO real talent. Get her off the show, I will never watch it again with that untalented cancer to society on there!

Ellen was a bit out of her element, however she is a quick study and will soon add a unique spin to the comments.

I love Ellen, My husband and I record and watch her show every night! She makes my day! There should be more people like her! She is so generous and I feels she is totally a genuine person! U rock Ellen, keep on keepin it up!

No one seems to be considering the preteens and the teens that are finding thier identity. As a little girl I so wanted to be a boy and if I would have had a famous person to show me that I could pretend to be a boy and maybe even get famous myself doing so I believe that would have played a strong part in the direction in life.To know I could dress like a boy, act like a boy, talk like a boy would have, at 9 or 10 years old made me very happy. I just hated being a girl. With no choice of that in my realm there was nothing to do but accept what I was. I truly believe that it is a undesireable situation and would worry for my young ones being exposed to what would be a confusion person however wonderful a person she/he may be. Betty Calif

I thought she was great. She put the contestants at ease and gives some real honesty to her position! My husband, who usually doesn't watch Idol, really enjoyed it and her! I think she is a great asset! Love her!!!

She really did not bring anything to the program. I think more should be put on Randy Jackson, he is the real professional in the mix.

I thought she did really well. She does have a good ear for music. She gives an honest opinion - her private life does not concern me and I am ultra conservative. She is a nice person - very qualified to judge Idol - that is all that matters.

She was funny, she was honest and she wasn't whacked out on pain pills...it was refreshing. Go Ellen!

We will not watch Idol again. Kids need good role models, not people with confused sexual identities.

I am sorry you feel this way. God made us all, and whether straight, gay, or confused as you are....I think we need to accept all of God's people. Ellen does so much good for people. She is a very giving person. What better role model could there be....someone who seemed to be on meds or whatever? Get a grip....and I hope your children don't some day come to you and inform you that they were BORN gay. You will be the type that would disown them, and how sad that would be. Think about it.

Let's leave God out of this, shall we? That is Ellen Degenerate's decision. It has nothing to do with God. And if you can read the Bible, it's clearly against His wishes. She can do whatever she wants. She has free will. And she lives in a country where her decisions are not illegal. Don't blame God.

How can Ellen be boring??? Did you miss the way Paula and Simon would bicker? That I found was boring. Ellen seems to be good for the contestants.

...but overall, AI has an enormous job to do to continue successfully w/o Simon next year. I did not laugh as much and found last nite's show exceedingly boring, espcially since Simon is much more subdued than previous shows. Personnally, I feel the need to move on after being an AI fan for several years. AI has lost it's sizzle, so I'll probably searching for something else during this time slot.

Ellen married a lady, doesn't want to be a lady, and though she is a woman plays the part of a man in her private life. These are choices a lot of people are making because they can. Although there are truly people who have hormonal embalances that drive them in thier feelings, most in the gay world live as they do out of choice and I don't believe God should be brought into it as one other persons remarks has done. I beieve she is probably a good person but a "classy lady" is not her quest that I can see.

Yes.....why bother with this poll? Ellen added a lot.....and wasn't on any pills or whatever. And I got sick and tired of the way Paula "drooled" over some contestants. Ellen is a good replacement.

She's not a music person she's just a TV personality. I don't think she has an dynamics and I sure won't spend time watching her. Once Simon goes so will the show soon after.

a lot of people are complaining that she shouldn't be on idol because she doesn't know anything about music, but Just because she doesn't have a muscial background doesn't mean she doesn't have an ear for music or know talent when she sees it. I think she will make a good judge on idol.

I thought she did really good! She was funny yet honest. I love how she brightened the mood. :)
