Soccer star Hope Solo has married her football player boyfriend Jerramy Stevens just hours after he was arrested under suspicion of assaulting her. The former Seahawks tight end was arrested for fourth degree assault on the U.S. Women’s Soccer goalkeeper early on Monday.

Stevens was released without charge, but the case is still under investigation and he could be charged later if any more evidence is found. The couple were married on Tuesday night, after a brief relationship; the pair had only been dating for about two months when they applied for a marriage license on November 8.

News of the marriage was confirmed by Sportsradio 950 AM and 102.9 FM radio host Dave Mahler, and Solo’s teammate Jillian Loyden sent a tweet suggesting that she may have been at the wedding, saying “Happy to witness such an amazing celebration of real love #selflesslove #fewandfarbetween.” Is the marriage a result of true love... or a bad decision?

What" she's a confused lesbian... falling under the judging public eye.... she's hot. I think if he's gives her any trouble.. she can hold her ground..... but don't get married for public image.... it's not worth it... and why pick a loser - you can't fix 'em. Actually, my husband proposed on the third date, we had been dating a week, and we were married by the fourth week. Still together 15 years later.

If he does it once, chances are he'll do it again. I'm a forgiving person, but I don't take back abusers or cheaters. This is before discussing their two months of dating. They're still in their honeymoon phase, even under "normal" circumstances I'd say this is a bad idea.

Because for whatever reason they feel like that is what they deserve or all they are worth. It is a mental thing, she may be a very accomplished athlete, but if she feels inferior, and ugly, she may think he is all she deserves. Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it and it took a lot of counseling to figure out that I deserved and was worth more.

I know several women who are in the same boat and have been trying to convince them of that. finally one of them took my words to hart and moved out and left her boyfriend.

Great for her. Hope she gets a decent counselor and doesn't keep repeating the pattern. A lot of women feel like they deserve that, and the issues are rooted in childhood, but with counseling you can make better choices in life and not end up another dead statistic, which is what I would have been had I not gotten out the day I did.
