By now you've probably heard the news: Taylor Momsen is quitting Hollywood.
If you're not female or under 21, you're probably wondering: Who is Taylor Momsen?
Well, the 18-year-old infamously appeared on "Gossip Girl" for four years, until she was reportedly booted as a regular cast member for her inappropriate and bratty behavior.
And now it looks like she's quitting Hollywood altogether.
She told the latest issue of Elle, "I quit acting, actually. I quit 'Gossip Girl' and now tour and am in a band and that's pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I'll be able to only do that for the rest of my life."
We have to admit, her band name -- The Pretty Reckless -- suits her perfectly, and she'll be touring with Evanescence this fall. Not a bad gig.
But seeing how The Pretty Reckless is not exactly a household name -- and there are big bucks to be made in Hollywood -- we're pretty sure Momsen will be eating her words pretty soon.
And she won't be the first. Plenty of stars have "threatened" to retire from Hollywood, and somehow appeared in the latest film at our local multiplex a year or so later. Then there are other stars (Mel Gibson) who haven't decided to hang it up but probably should.

but Arnold looks like he's melting...
BTW, "The Beaver" may be a monetary failure, but the movie itself is quite good.
Her talent is dubious. She's had good roles -- but those days are loooooooong behind her. She needs to be locked up in rehab or jail and leave Hollywood before she becomes the next member of the 27 club.
i swear 2 god she looks like a ghost trying 2 haunt me!
