If he flunked breathalyser and/or blood test, a skunk was more sober (from expression "drunk as skunk")!

Did he take a breath test or a urinalysis?

Regardless of whether the racially profiled him or not, if they gave him a breathalyzer and he failed, he's guilty!

Honestly I wouldn't believe 99.9% of players in the NFL, but Hines Ward for some reason ranks on the very small list of ones I would. I may also be wrong

Being in Georgia and being black and driving a bad ass ride is reason enough to be pulled over. Cops can make it up as they go.

No, I don't. And I didn't buy his lame apology either. You generally have to pass a filed sobriety test and take a breathalyzer. Sometimes, celebs get out of either on or both of these. But Dekalb cops do not normally arrest people who aren't driving impaired. It is a public safety issue, Hines just thought he could get away with it.

I really don't know anything about this case but it happened to me once. At least in my state it doesn't matter what the individual does or says. The cop can get you found guilty just by virtue of his "professional opinion". The college town cop who got me had been a security guard at the university there. Then after he got in trouble from the school for exceeding his authority he was hired by the local police. As far as anyone knew he'd not attended any type of police academy/training program prior to or after being hired as an officer and given a car and a gun.
Oh yeah, I passed the field sobriety and breath test. But as I truthfully told him I'd drank a beer (1) an hour before he still decided I was drunk. Gotta love livin' in a "free" country.

don't they test peoples alchol levels? or has america not thought to do this yet?
(i know you do, so why's there evene an issue here. even if he has an abnormal tolerence to alcohol he must still hav been driving while over the legal limit.)

Don't have to be drunk to be drunk in their eyes. 2 beers and you're done.... Stupid I say...

There is a field sobriety test and a beahtalyzer. Since UNLAWFUL arrests of the celebrity class generally cost people their jobs, I am pretty certain Hines WAS impaired.

He might have been. I know 2 beers would do nothing to me, but the law says I'm a criminal. So be it.

It is different for each person, half of a shot of anything makes me barf for hours and takes days to feel right. But he has a big body and probably drinks fairly often-it IS a part of the world he travels in. He probably had too many then drove. In Atlanta they generally give a certain amount of careless driving a pass, it has to be extreme for them to pull a celeb because too many of them live there. And it is high profile when they arrest one. Hines more then likely DID have too much.

I answered no I don't believe him. I also don't believe two beers makes you a criminal either. You drink, you don't drive. Simple as that.

True, problem was he DID. LOL, he is just trying to play the celeb card.

I really doubt that they would have arrested him for a DUI if it wasn't at least highly probably he was.

Considering he refused a breathalizer...which is pretty much a guilty plea in most states...I would say he was drinking. I dont know anyone that would refuse one if they hadnt been drinking. Kinda a give away.

When people are pulled over or otherwhise accused of being drunk,
they are given a sobriety test to see if they are over the legal limit.
He was obviously was over the legal limit.
So what is the problem here, since those tests are 99.9% accurate???

Here's another idiot trying to "blame the pigs." He clearly WAS drunk or he wouldn't have gotten a DUI. They don't just say "here you go, I'm not going to test you for it but I'm giving you a DUI anyways."
