Just days before arriving on set to play star in the biopic “jOBS,” about the late Apple co-founder, Ashton Kutcher was rushed to the hospital. The actor, was getting into character to play Steve Jobs and decided to try out the computer mogul’s all-fruit diet. Apparently, eating like a fruitarian left Kutcher with severe health issues. He told USA today at the Sundance film festival, “My pancreas levels were like completely out of whack... I was doubled over in pain.”
Kutcher is not the only celeb to try extreme dieting. According to MSN.com, some other famous stars have used some pretty unusual methods for weight loss.
Jennifer Aniston’s survived on a baby food diet (she ate 14 servings a day). Beyonce’s did a liquid lemon juice regimen to slim down for “Dreamgirls.” Brooke Shields got thin in a slightly more conventional way, the age-old grapefruit diet, while Snookie tried a plan we all might have an easier time getting behind: the cookie diet (nine 60-calorie treats a day, and that’s it!)
Elizabeth Hurley ate only watercress soup while Sarah Michelle Gellar's liquid lunch of choice was made of cabbage. And “The Voice’s” Christina Aguilera ate a different color food each day of the week. They all seem to stay in shape, so maybe something’s working. What about you? Have you tried any of these celebrity diets?
