Everyone has so much prejudices about the book because they hate the Twilight franchise. A shame. The Twilight books were very well written, though I hate all the fuss around it. The Host is also an amazing book, with good action and love triangles and a lot of confusion. It's really a book about love, hate and excepting others that are different. For the Twilight haters: It's nothing like Twilight!
Tried...5 pages later I decided it was total crap...returned the book to the library and promptly threw up... Stephanie Meyers is a piss poor author...she just got lucky...I made a lot of money making Twilight jewelry and selling it to teeny boppers...otherwise it is a waste of time... :)
Just because you hate the Twilight franchise, doesn't mean her books suck. You should try the Host, completely different from Twilight. It's a really great book.
Haha :D I actually liked Twilight, and trust me I was surprised. I told my sister to read it and I said: nothing happens in the entire book, but it's good. It's just all the drama around it that I hate, you know, the movies and stuff. But the Host is really great with good action and complicated love :)
It was really great, as opposed to her other crap. There was actual drama, character development, plot...I mean, I didn't even know that she knew what plot was. And the language was not over blown. It was like someone else wrote it.
But the Host is really great with good action and complicated love :)
