Have you ever found a factual error on a cop show or mystery?

I watched a CSI Miami a couple of seasons ago and they were trying to identify a married couple they had found murdered with no identification. The break came when they analyzed the stomach contents and found a certain kind of chili that was only made in Cincinnati (Skyline or Gold Star chili) It included Beans and spaghetti. The CSI detective says...they have to be from Cincinnati because they are the only ones that have this type of chili.
Problem: There is a Skyline Chili in Ft. Meyers Florida which would have been the obvious first choice. I just thought this was funny because someone with a Cinn. connection obviously thought they had come up with a good one.
Any other continuity problems out there?

Not that I know of... I've found errors in general in t.v shows but I don't recall finding one on are crime show. Probably because I wouldn't know the difference. I'm not the smartest cookie in the cookie jar.

When I watched TV, I found errors in TV crime and science fiction dramas all the time. My complaint was usually an obvious mistake in grade school level science. There is no fact checking done on TV entertainment scripts. This is one of the reasons why I do not watch TV anymore.

Sure ... i'm a lawyer and there are things that happen in the courtroom scenes that would not happen in real life.
