Has Egyptian President Morsi gone too far?

President Mohamed Morsi suggested Monday that he would scale back broad powers he assumed last week but failed to appease Egypt's judiciary, which would still lack oversight of some institutions including the Islamist-led assembly drafting a new constitution. His offers do not go far enough for the judges. Unrest continues.

Morsi = Muslim Brotherhood => Drafting new Egyptian Constitution expected to implement Shariah Law <= ("zionist puppet")???

    What drugs you on?

http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/... "Protected by the president's new-found supreme and unquestionable powers, Morsi ordered his Islamist allies to finish writing the constitution and get it on his desk by the end of this week. They did it, even though many independent legal experts, Christians and opposition politicians boycotted the drafting process. The Brotherhood called the new constitution "a jewel." Many Egyptians say it leaves too much room for the implementation of Shariah law."

Yes, his own vainty and human nature have taken over, along with satan pushing him along. These type men need to come back and do what is right for others and not just for themselves. They need to be good and loving leaders...not dictators, but men of wisdom and hope for their people.

How is this not 100% yes?

Morsi essentially declared himself a new Pharaoh/dictator (by placing his decisions above review)... You can't go much farther than that.

The people of Egypt elected the man, if they don't like it, then it is up to them to get rid of him. Not our problem.

Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood know exactly what they are doing. Their agenda is not going to change. There is no compromising in SHARIA LAW and anyone who thinks there is, would be lying to themselves.

And they are not politically correct in that part of the world. They will assassinate him for it. Maybe we should learn from them how to deal with self centered politicians. Just the fear of personal reprisal beyond the ballot box would keep them in line.

Albeit, it was known that he would -- history has lots of tyrants who gave themselves "temporary" (which turned out to be true in the sense that all of them were mortal) sweeping powers -- Robespierre of France and Pornistani dictators Ayub, Yahya and Zia ul-Haq!
