Halle Berry’s Ex and Fiancé Fight: Is She Drawn to Bad Boys?

While most people were in a blistering kitchen basting their turkeys on Thanksgiving morning, things were heating up outside of Halle Berry’s house. That’s where the Oscar-winning actresses’ ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, Gabrielle Aubry, and her fiancée, Oliver Martinez, got into a fistfight. The scuffle supposedly started when the male model shoved the French movie star. And even though both men ended up visiting Cedars Sinai Medical Center that afternoon, it was Aubry who was thrown in the slammer for misdemeanor battery. All of the details will be sorted out in a court of law on December 13.

For now Berry has been spotted with an armed body guard and Aubrey has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from her, Martinez and his own daughter, Nahla. It’s not the first time the “Monster’s Ball” star has asked for protection against an ex. After her split from her first husband, baseball player David Justice, Berry filed a restraining order claiming that she was afraid for “her personal safety and well-being.” While the second Mr. Berry, singer Eric Benet, was never accused of being violent he did go to rehab for sex addiction. Then came Aubry.

While Martinez has also been labeled a womanizer for years, he seems to be settling down with Berry. But the jury’s still out and time will tell whether or not Berry’s picker is finally working properly. What do you think: Is she drawn to bad boys?

Who knows... he could have been coming to pick up his child for Thanksgiving and she denied him visitation. That would piss anybody off. I can't see any other reason her ex would travel to her house on a "Holiday" if not to get his child for scheduled visitation. Some parents think their children have no other purpose than to use to cause the other parent grief. Shame on them!

I don't think that this fight has anything to do with Halle Berry being drawn to "Bad Boy's." I think that this fight occured because the father of Halle's daughter has probably provoked her fiance'. Our society is so prone to negativity.

Most women are. This was the reason that I (back in the day) had an endless supply of ass while my poor brother, the nicest guy you would ever want to meet and my total opposite, would never make it past one date most times.

I tell my daughter all the time that the bad boys are dicks and not to go after them.

It seems like she's causing the drama. She probably did something to enrage her ex... so that he'd get locked up, for her to get a restraining order, so she can get full custody of their daughter.

That very tactic is taught in a book called "Divorce Wars" written for women. The idea is that if the ex is spending his resources fighting a criminal suit, his funds will be exhausted on that and nothing left to fight the civil (divorce) case, and the criminal charges can be used as a supporting factor in not granting them custody.

A friend of mine was reading it several years back when she was going through a divorce. I wa apalled at the stuff that was in the book. For some parents its all about control and hurting the other parent, and if using the kids gets them control and hurts the other parent, so be it.

I don't think she is "drawn" to bad boys anymore than any other mature woman. Although women like a strong machismo man she can feel protected by, sometimes they mistake that aggressive demeanor to mean its always directed outward and not toward oneself or their immediate family. I wish her the best this time. I am glad he beat the holy hell out of her ex.
