One Million Moms is at it again. The group that previously lashed out at JC Penney for using gay comediennne Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman is now upset about "The New Normal," the upcoming NBC sitcom about a single mom who agrees to be a surrogate mother for a gay couple, Zap2it reports.

the new normal

OMM writes on their website: "To sum it up, this show is about a homosexual couple who hires a surrogate to have their baby ... NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage. These things are harmful to our society, and this program is damaging to our culture."

OMM adds that they are ready to give sponsors of the program a hard time. "Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. NBC's 'The New Normal' is attempting to desensitize America and our children. It is the opposite of how families are designed and created. You cannot recreate the biological wheel." Do you think "The New Normal" is "harmful to society"? Or perfectly harmless?

Any show like this is harmful simply because its going to be ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

Quality shows don't need to rely on social controversy to drive an audience.

As a side note (just out of interest) why do people pick surrogates and not adoption?

    Awesome, I'll be watching.
What that oppressive group doesn't realize is that millions of Americans are also FOR gay marriage and rights to the american citizens.

I am for peoples rights but I also think they need to be warned of what is considered sin that needs repentance. Only my one opinion and like yours only one.

God doesn't exist. God was created by man to control the population. God was created in man's own image of malicious, misogynistic, sexist, racist, bigoted, malevolent, and violent.

Read this. It's quite long, and you probably won't agree with it, but it pretty much explains why homosexuality isn't actually a sin. Through Christian argements and everything. (:

I was born in the early 90s...I was brought up to see the good in everybody and not care about race, gender, orientation, whatever. Maybe it's the generation in which I grew up, but I really could care less.

as in not really care to right this...really i think it would be kinda funny...i see the comedy in things and don't go straight into the sexual orientation of people.

It's too late. I don't know why Ellen DeGeneres advertises for "Cover Girl."? She makes herself look as masculine as possible. Ellen DeGeneres Ellen DeGeneres Ellen DeGeneres dressed in suit and ties Ellen DeGeneres show Ellen DeGeneres dress styles

Or she could just like wearing pants? They are rather comfortable. And she has to wear makeup, they won't let you on TV without it.

Honestly I'm a conservative and could care less. You don't HAVE to watch shows like this, this show isn't harmful to society, it just demonstrates the direction that society is moving. You don't have to like that direction, but there are plenty of shows which are probably worse than this. Here's an idea, turn off the T.V. That's called killing a thousand birds with one stone.
