One Million Moms is at it again. The group that previously lashed out at JC Penney for using gay comediennne Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman is now upset about "The New Normal," the upcoming NBC sitcom about a single mom who agrees to be a surrogate mother for a gay couple, Zap2it reports.

the new normal

OMM writes on their website: "To sum it up, this show is about a homosexual couple who hires a surrogate to have their baby ... NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage. These things are harmful to our society, and this program is damaging to our culture."

OMM adds that they are ready to give sponsors of the program a hard time. "Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. NBC's 'The New Normal' is attempting to desensitize America and our children. It is the opposite of how families are designed and created. You cannot recreate the biological wheel." Do you think "The New Normal" is "harmful to society"? Or perfectly harmless?

The dialogue consists of 11 comments, dear roby. Doesn't surprise me you can only count to 3 though. It's amusing because one person is perfectly reasonable, like me, while the other comes across as a little dull, like you.

I think it's kinda like a couple saying that "we are pregnant" when it's really she that is pregnant. Since she is surrogating for them it could be said that they are pregnant. The advert just shows this in a visual way, without having to spell it out.

Aw, an here I thought the picture implied it was going to be a show about MPreg... now that I would watch.
But this? I'll pass because really how far can you go with it? Not far really, it'll last maybe two seasons if it manages to get popular but by then the kid will be born and it'll all go downhill after that.

That being said I doubt it'll get popular anyway because it's one of those things that sounds like it would be better as a movie rather than a TV series.

Basically if you do not agree with them...they stuff it in your face or stuff it in your schools...I do not and will not shop JC penny(also sold my stock) and I know many older people who have done the same.

They are just pushing their base of consumers away...and in this economey that is a dumb thing to do.

They are not pushing their consumer base away, in fact, their consumer base has grown because of it.

People who aren't bigoted would rather give a business that is all for equality their money instead of giving their money to a bigoted chain stuck with milleniums-old notions of what a group of middle eastern sheep herder thought "morality" meant.

LOL love the blittling great way to debate...and how is it that JC Penny is closing store after store...20 years ago there were one in every town...now, at least in California and Org, you'd be hard pressed to fnd one within 300-400 miles...LOL. Maybe they are growing online..... but I don't think so. It's a sinking ship.

Our children don't need to see the trash that fills our networks today. Our society is one big TV show.

Yeah, anything that promotes being gay is absolute trash. But shows that show graphic images of men and women having sex and violent Call of Duty games are a-okay!

I have a problem with all of them, society mirrors what it is educated with. Today we are educating our children with TVs and movies, and teachers who have been educated the same way. Do you ever remember hearing of student/teacher sex cases like we do nearly every week today?

We have had so many of them in Florida that they are not getting much coverage anymore. The unusual thing is that most are females with young boys.

I think it's harmful just because it sounds like a bad idea for a show... It's therefore a waste of the electromagnetic spectrum.
