The 54th Grammy Awards are still a few months away, but the nominees were officially announced Wednesday night, which makes this a tense season for the top artists. Kanye West lead the roster with seven nominations, but "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" failed to qualify for Album of the Year. Adele, though trailing with six nominations, was nominated in the three most prominent categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
The difference between Song of the Year and Record of the Year is a little technical, so Album of the Year is often regarded as the staple of the Grammy ceremony. This year, Adele ("21") will be up against the Foo Fighters ("Wasting Light"), Lady Gaga ("Born This Way"), Bruno Mars ("Doo-Wops & Hooligans"), and Rihanna ("Loud.")
Whoever wins it, you can bet Kanye will let them finish.

Two of my favourite artists.
She definitely deserves that.
