This has been an exceedingly good year for 25-year-old Scarlett Johansson, who played Black Widow in "Iron Man 2" and won the Tony Award for Best Performance in a Featured Actress in a Play for her role in Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge."

Now she's ending the year with a bang as GQ's Babe of the Year.

ScarJo is no stranger to being a sex icon. In 2006, she appeared naked on the cover of Vanity Fair and was named Maxim's sixth hottest woman in their Hot 100 issue. The next year, Playboy named her its Sexiest Celebrity.

GQ wrote of their fair-haired hottie, "This is what we love about Scarlett: that she's game, that she's good, that she can try on all these guises without seeming to try too hard. And all the while still seem genuinely like the observant, inquisitive (and very cute) girl in transition we fell for in 'Lost in Translation.'"

Is ScarJo deserving of GQ's title, or is she just another overrated Hollywood star?

this is the only woman in the world that scares the living sh!t out of me. she is the only celebrity i would avoid meeting as if she were infected with the plague. it is a good thing i don't have to worry about meeting her, it takes a great load off of my life. if i have a crappy day, i think to myself "well, at least i don't have to meet scarlett johansson today." and it gets better from there. good choice GQ.
