'Gossip Girl' Identity Finally Revealed in Series Finale: Did They Wait Too Long to Let Us Know?

For me, I wasn't really thinking about who Gossip Girl was until they like brought it up but I was more focused on how "she" knew everything like things with Chuck and Blair's accident other personal stuff. I think it was a good season finale and the show really wouldn't be as exciting it they exposed Gossip Girl that episode when they graduated and was on a mission to find out who she was or any other episode for that matter. The identity would be revealed and there will be no more gossip. It was a good end its so sad that it ended. I still remember when they 1st advertised it playing the song Glamorous in the background and Blair telling Serena that she found that Serena had sex with Nate.I'm going to mess it though and i can't believe Dan is GG although it did make sense.

It was awsome finding out Dan was gossip girl he was the main player the whole time who cares he didnt end up with Blair?! He's gossip girl to me had more power then anyone on the show which makes him the coolest person on the show yeah i'm going to miss this show but I'm not really broken up about the show went out with a bang but pretty little liars and revange have became the new gossip girl for me I showed my boyfriend pretty little liars the last holloween episode he is hooked he wants to start watching it now lol

If they dont ruin it for me by the third episode I get livid. phsss

I never saw this show. But the posts make me curious. Probably be around in re-runs but I doubt if I will get around to it. Old movies on TCM are worth watching.

I'm not sure, I loveed gossip girl season 1 and 2, season 3 was a bit of drag for me and I watched the end half of season 4 and about 2 episodes of season 5. I was losing interest of the show but I did watch the last gossip girl episode just to find out who gossip girl was. I was happy overall with the episode although I didn't go for some of the relationships that ended up being 'endgame'. It was a nice ending for the show. I was so happy they brought in Kristen bell :)

Well it would've been pointless to have continued the series if everyone knew who Gossip Girl was. I kinda figured it was Dan after the third season. There were so many instances where I was wondering why he got the better half of the gossip spread about him. At first I thought it was Dorota (like Blair and everyone else it seems) but she was kind of too faithful to Blair and I didn't think she'd say half the things Gossip Girl said about her.

I only watched the first three seasons and maybe two last season and I only watched the season premier but it sucked so I just waited for the finale. It was fun while it lasted but I won't miss it.

They obviously knew I was on to them and made it seem as if Dan was it, but really DOROTHA was meant to be Gossip Girl!!!!

I was a huge fan but after the whole Chuck getting shot and ending up in France thing I kinda stopped watching and missed everything, so this is a huge surprise. They could have kept it a secret and just never revealed the true identity.

My sister started telling me the interesting bit halfway through the 3rd season. She told me the end before she even watched it. Chuck Bass season 1 was the best thing in the show after that- or season 2- it got boring and tedious...

Omg, its Dan? What a shocker. I used to really be into that show when I was like 12, lol. But like most things, I grew out of it.

wow that was a shock to say the least .I always thought that some how gossip Girl would have been some famous person that followed the life of rich kids.I am glad chuck & blair got to be together.

Definitely not. I think the show is AMAZING. Started watching it a few months ago and have since watched most of the seasons. I absolutely love it and I'm glad they waited this long because it gets you even more interested because of all the drama

That is what kept the show so interesting! I was not surprised, but confused as to why he was calling himself "Gossip Girl"...yea something is a little disturbing about that! Lol
