In what should come as no big surprise to anyone who has ever been or met a teenage girl, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” has come out on top in the Teen Choice Award nominations, with a total of nine nominations.
However, there’s a new kid in town, threatening to topple R-Patz and the gang from their perch. And that new kid is named “Glee.”
“Glee” actually tied “New Moon,” with nine nominations of its own. The awards are divided into film, television and music categories, and “Glee” is the clear, dominant favorite in the world of teen TV.
The smash hit, musical-comedy-hybrid scored nominations for its stars Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison, Diana Agron, Kevin McHale and Mark Salling, all nominated in the “Breakout” and “Scene Stealer” categories. Nominated in the lead actor and actress categories are Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, and the show itself is nominated for “Choice Comedy.”
As for the “Twilight” kids, they did pretty well themselves, scoring nominations in the lead acting categories for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. The teen love for Pattinson and Stewart even spilled over to their other, less-known performances from last year; Pattinson for “Remember Me” and Stewart for her performance as Joan Jett in “The Runaways.”
One of the more interesting categories is “Most Fanatic Fans.” The screaming in the auditorium should be especially deafening when these nominations are read aloud: David Archuleta, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, “Glee” cast, “Twilight” cast.
Let the shrieking begin.
Are You Rooting For 'Glee' Or 'Twilight'?

Vic~*PHAET*~ 2010/06/29 15:11:19I'm a total Gleek.+6I'm no Gleek, but its a hell of a lot more fulfilling than whiny, selfish Mary Sues with sparkly boyfriends.

well, the show can be a bit meh at some times
but i think the music is so much fun, and being part of a choir, i know how much fun it would be to do that sort of thing
but yes, i am a gleek, and proud of it
so take that
=D
And the most funny and interesting thing about Glee is, Cory and Mark are 27 yr olds playing highschoolers....... O.o
Mr main Sparkles instead of his real name.
