'Glee' Meets 'Archie': Which Do You Like More?

Did you grow up reading "Archie Comics"? Or did you grow up watching "Glee"? Whether you're 9 or 99, you might appreciate the new "Archie Meets Glee" collaboration. Come to think of it, Archie, Betty and Veronica aren't so different from Finn, Quinn and Rachel after all.

"I thought, 'Archie meets Glee' would be a great crossover since they're both set in high schools, they're both optimistic, they both involve singing," Jon Goldwater, the co-chief executive officer, told The Associated Press. Archie even introduced an openly gay character in recent years, another way the comic is similar to "Glee."

"'Glee' is courageous in their story lines and how they represent their characters, how they represent the high school situation," Goldwater told the AP. A writer for "Glee" will create the crossover late this year or early next year. Will you check it out for the "Archie" aspect? To keep up with "Glee"? Or are you bored by both the vintage comic and the popular TV show?

I've always loved Archie. Why drag "Glee" into it? Why can't two separate world's remain separate anymore? Stay away from Riverdale, Glee! Geez, what's next? "Archie Meets Star Wars"?

Glee gives the kids something to look at. I would prefer they watch that as oppose to some of the s*** shown on TV today. I wouldn't even let them watch a commercial.

Damn I meant Archie. I'll admit it I used to be a total Gleek but after last season...They really jumped the shark and since I heard they were going to keep the graduated people around I don't think I'll watch anymore.

I've read some Archie comics and I definitely respect it a whole lot more than Glee, but neither are anything I follow even casually. The real question is... how the frig do you do a crossover between a live-action television series and a comic series, and who (other than Disney or Nickelodeon) would ever consider making one between two series with contrasting styles? Also: what was the co-chief executive officer smoking when he came up with this, and where can I get some?

I was a little late for Archie, once Marvel and DC kicked off Archie comics were a complete waste of paper.

Glee...don't even start me on that trash TV. It is the single worst 'popular' TV show to be made in my lifetime.

If I could ask the writers and producers collectively one thing it would be;

How can you take an inspiring media like theater which has produced some amazing works of art and then whore it up, take a big dump on it, and sell it as cheap teenage garbage?

Honestly, I don't watch either shows, so I have no idea. I tried watching "Glee" and I could only get through the first episode and a little bit of the second episode, and then I got bored. I don't like the plot of "Glee", because all they do is butcher the heck out of songs that were just fine on their own in the first place. For those of you who like "Glee" and what it stands for, I am fine with that, as long as you know that not everybody likes what you like.
