I remember a run of it about 30 years ago as a comic-strip--and I'll give the series about the same chance of lasting (the run of it as comic-strip was less than 1 year).

We all know how that turns out.

it's the best idea. now we just need to make sure that the execution of the show goes as good as possible.

Do you people not remember the prequels (that I refuse to acknowledge as real members of the Star Wars saga)? They were atrocious.

I was wondering when or if he would do anything like this. Great idea. So long as they focus on people and events beyond Skywalker. I think it has great potential.

yes as long as it will be good I am up for it I need a new tv show to watch anyway so I am willing to give it a shot if it doesn't look bad.

The Clone Wars (the 5 minute ones) was a complete hit. However, I really didn't catch one with the 3D Clone Wars.

It'll have to work hard to live up to expectations & probably either go way before or after the movie timelines

I'd like to see Han Solo as a teenager. I bet he was a trouble maker. LOL!

Yes because it will bring back the Star Wars craze and hopefully overshadow all of this Twilight crap.

On the other hand....it could be a bad thing because Star Wars was so amazing that anything else will just look terrible.

I love and grew up with the original trilogy. I don't know how this new series will turn out but I'm not opposed to a Star Wars TV series in principle and if done correctly I think it could be excellent. I just hope that the creators focus on creating a story that stands on it's own legs in the Star Wars Universe without over-referencing the movies.

eh im torn about it. because i enjoyed all of the movies very much. i was never a huge fan of the animated tv series though.

and the thing that i am wondering is what will he base it off of, because there have been so many Star wars books released predating Episode I, and after Episode VI. to be original he would have to go all the way before the stories of Darth Bane, and after the Legacy of the Force Series.

and the same thing goes for if he created Episodes 7-9, there were rumors that he was going to create another series, but i haven't seen for sure if whether or not he will.

but something that i have heard is that he plans on re-releasing Episodes 1-6 in 3D or HD formats sometime soon.

Star Wars hasn't jumped enough media bridges. Star Trek has already had books, movies, video games, and sequel series or the original series. Star Wars has several books, a few canon video games, a couple of cartoon shows. That's it. Star Trek has Star Wars blown out of the water in terms of content. I really would like to see the Star Wars Galaxy expanded in a televised serial format.

The original movies were awesome. the Prequel amazing. the animated shows suck ass. now this, he really is trying to milk this now isn't he.

Funny, I just saw an interview with him last week where he said that it was on the back burner. ...or maybe he said there was a bunch of it done and they were just trying to find someone to air it. I forget. xD
